In booking with me there are a few things I would like to discuss.
First allow me to say thank you for consideration working with me. You obviously see something that will add to your work and I accept the compliment so thank you.
For those who have worked with me in the past know a different work ethic than I approach now with projects but I still encourage each to ask good questions in order to determine work compatibility.
Now, as strangers reaching out to collaborate there are some dos and don't I want to discuss before I go into the business of me.
I highly recommend knowing exactly what your asking for. That means the amount of time, the location, wardrobe if any and all the details you can share. These are important in order to determine the value of my time and yours for the project you are requesting me for.
The one thing I will not do is go back and forth with constant changes. That means you continuously asking me if I'd be willing to do more on top of what you initially contacted me for. Too many try to push the boundaries of how cheap they can get the most out of me and I'm not playing that game.
Also, do not ask me to share photos with you. I have enough online for you to see. If that's not good enough or your too lazy to go look, you will receive no further correspondence from me.
You need to make a firm offer, a reasonable offer and stick to it. It does not mean I'm going to accept it but your chances are higher because you are conducting good business up front. My reason is this...often times I'm asked for releases that gives the photographer the all hell of right to do as one wishes with my images opening me up to risk with no gain or protection at all. I will not do this anymore.
I am a business. That means you must have something substantial to offer me for my likeness that will or can allow me to conduct business with. There is no trade, there is no pay later, this is no " hopefully it will sell and we make money". That doesn't pay my bills or run my business. You want something from me, I'm getting something of value to me from you.
Things I won't do so you won't waste your time. Anything open leg or sex related. You couldn't afford me if I were to put a number on it so don't ask. I will not sign an all rights release. Any release will be negotiated to my benefit and protection. If you are famous for slapping watermarks on everything. I will not work with you. If you only send low resolution files, I also will not work with you. I create art with a lot of my images...raw files and high resolution files are required.
I haven't been around the block shooting with anyone and everyone so I retain my value of likeness so I do take that into account. I'm quite easy to work with and coach able on the set of shooting. I do not care what you look like, I'm not interested in getting flirtatious. Be professionally, cool, laid back and fun.
This is how I work. This will tell you if you do or don't want to work with me. Hopefully this makes that determination easier.
Enjoy the day!
